My Vision For Mebane
Strategic Growth
All of us see that Mebane is rapidly growing. This is a reflection of our state, our county, and the wonderful things that Mebane has to offer. Growth creates both opportunities and challenges. I am working with our city leaders and residents to make sure that the plan adopted in 2017 for Mebane’s future still reflects the goals and needs of our city. Mebane can be strategic, even selective, about growth. I want to gather your input and help guide our future.
Vibrant Downtown
Downtown Mebane is a special place. It is a diverse collection of businesses built on the pillars of hard work and great ideas. I aim to be a consistent advocate for our downtown, looking for ways to help it to become even greater. My focus is promoting downtown so that all of Mebane and beyond know what we have to offer. I am working with the City Council and business owners to implement plans to overcome some of downtown’s challenges.
Diverse Community
Mebane has always had a small town feel. But as Mebane grows, we must work hard to retain a sense of community for all. Growth brings diversity of ideas and backgrounds that we can leverage to make us stronger. Parks and Recreation is one place where Mebane comes together, and I strongly support all the wonderful things being done there. I also want to promote open dialogue and productive listening to help make Mebane a wonderful place for all races, religions, perspectives, backgrounds, and ideas.
